President and CEO
Hung is the founder and chief executive officer of Greenvity. With more than 25 years of experience in wired and wireless communications including RF, mixed-signal and signal processing, Hung is a seasoned executive and serial entrepreneur having led several business organizations through successful exits.
Earlier in his career, Hung founded and served as chairman and CEO of Blue7 Communications, a fabless semiconductor startup that developed ultra-wideband wireless products. He led the company through a successful merger and acquisition in 2006 with Sigma Designs, where he served as general manager and vice president of the Wireless & Cable Products Division leading R&D engineering and marketing teams to develop high-speed wireless audio/video streaming products and broadband cable connectivity products. Hung’s career also includes founding the Optical Storage Division at NeoMagic, where he managed and led it through an acquisition by LSI Logic, and positions at Quantum Corporation and IBM.Hung received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with honor from University of Southern California and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Santa Clara University, where he also was a member of the Executive MBA program at the Leavey School of Business. Hung currently holds more than 30 patents in communication systems and was named the Inventor of the Year at Quantum in 1995.
Vice President of RF Engineering
John is the vice president of RF engineering at Greenvity and is responsible for leading the company’s R&D and RF/Analog development. John has more than 35 years of experience in analog and RF design in CMOS, BiCMOS and bipolar technologies. He is an industry expert in RF and mixed-signal design for UWB, WLAN, CDMA, AMPS, ETACS and radars.
Before joining Greenvity, John was the senior director of engineering at Sigma Designs where he led an engineering team in the development of RF and mixed-signal designs for wireless, powerline and cable connectivity products. Prior to Sigma Designs, John was the vice president of RF engineering at Blue7 Communications and led development of ultra-wideband wireless RF chips. Blue7 was later acquired by Sigma Designs.
John’s extensive experience in engineering and product management includes serving as president and CEO of RF and mixed-signal company SemiCom, and positions at TelCom, Philips, Precision Monolithics, Ferranti and Plessey.
John received a bachelor’s degree in physics from Leicester University, England and a master’s in electronics with distinction at London University, England. He currently holds five U.S. patents and has published and presented numerous papers at ESSCIRC, Applied Power Electronics and ISSCC conferences.
Vice President of Product Development
Jayesh Desai is the Vice President of Product Development at Greenvity and is responsible for leading the powerline communication and wireless product development for the company. Jayesh has more than 15 years of experience in architecture, designing and developing baseband processors for WLAN, UWB, MoCA, Zigbee and HomePlug.
Before joining Greenvity, Jayesh has held various Engineering and Management positions at Sigma Designs, Blue7 Communications, ParkerVision and Merlot Communications.
Jayesh received a bachelor’s degree in EE from University of Pune, Pune (India) and a master’s degree in EE from University of Bridgeport, Connecticut. He currently holds several U.S. patents in the field of DSP Technology.
Vice President of Software & Applications
Pankaj Razdan is the Vice President of the Software and Applications at Greenvity and is responsible for leading software development activities. Pankaj has over 10 years of experience in software development, especially, embedded software for system-on-chips.
Pankaj brings to Greenvity a history of developing leading-edge products as well as proven engineering experience. Pankaj was technical manager in the wireless R&D Division at Samsung (South Korea HQ). In that role, Pankaj led multiple development teams to develop software stack for WiFi chip and various Zigbee chips.
Prior to Samsung, Pankaj worked at several cutting-edge startups including Bandspeed (WiFi) and Escube Communications (WiMax).
Pankaj received a bachelor’s degree in ECE from University of Pune, Pune (India) and a master’s in ECE from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (India).
Edward Inyoung Cho
Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Edward Inyoung Cho is the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Greenvity. Edward has over 16 years of experience in sales, marketing and business development. Before joining Greenvity, Edward was the Director of Sales in Asia for RadioPulse, a fabless semiconductor with products such as wireless communication chips, Zigbee and RF4CE. In that role, Edward led a sales team and developed multiple major businesses by building strong sales channels and partner relationships in Asia. Prior to RadioPulse, Edward held several sales leadership positions at many successful ZigBee and Smart Home Network companies.
He received a Master’s degree in electronic communication engineering from Hanyang University, South Korea.
